Joanne Braddy
Joanne Braddy creates honest and insightful work that reflects her experiences with anxiety and depression, aiming to break down stigmas that hinder healing. Over 15 years as a painter and ceramicist, she has showcased her talent in solo exhibitions in Brisbane and Melbourne and has been recognised in various art awards.
Braddy's work combines a powerful message of self-awareness, self-discovery, passion, perseverance, struggle, and bravery. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions across Australia, including Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, and has had successful solo shows in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Her accolades include the Brisbane Festival Art Highly Commended Award, the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Merit Award, and the Moreton Bay Region Council Art Brian Burke 25th Anniversary Award. She has also been a finalist in the Lethbridge Art Award, the Brisbane Portrait Prize, and the Lester Portrait Prize.
