About the Artist
Jason Starr
Growing up in Brisbane, in the nexus of live music, BMX, and motorbikes, Jason learned fast to grab a camera to capture it all. He was instantly drawn to the way a photograph can tell a story. Jason went on to graduate from the Queensland College of Art and, in turn, shoot commercial portraits and food and lifestyle for direct clients and agencies. Some of his previous and current clients include The Queensland Ballet, Brisbane City Council, Suncorp, KPMG, Baskin Robbins, and Subway. Jason’s work has been selected twice as a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize.
